Hey Jim, Yet another great post mate!

Like Allen said here in his comment, you really only need a few GOOD products and just get to work using them to the max. I usaully only buy on recommendations from someone I trust.

This has served me well over the years.

BTW,

i couldn't fit the whole bookshelf into the camera lens, so i had to take the pic in two parts and then tried to stitch them together. unfortunately their angles were different so they didnt come together properly.

If anyone is ever looking to follow someone extraordinary. Jim is this person. In the time that I have been reading his blog and following him as a mentor I would consider myself fortunate to have found him. The one thing that has become apparent to me is that Jim is an upstanding individual, honest and in a profound way shares what he knows.
If you are looking for someone who will show you the way, you have found the right place, right here.

Jim,

I guess I had to come back after a few days of thought and give you what I find most interesting about internet marketers.

It's always funny to watch as a big dawg is getting ready to launch a new product.
Ten other big dawgs and a couple of little dawgs in training will bombard you with daily updates on the $72,231 worth of extras they are tossing into the mix.

But that is not what really gets to me. What gets to me is that just about all but a few of the big names wil continue to beat you up with auto responder messages to buy their product well after you have purchased the item from them, not the affiliate.

It is a fairly simple task to set your autoresponder up to accomidate this, but few do; and it is truely something that will make this boy not buy from that person again.

Suppose you went into an old time hardware and bought a 13 mm open end wrench from the owner? Do you think the next time you go into the store he will try to sell it to you again?

You are one of the few people in internet marketing who tells things like they are.

Thanks,

Denis

So true Jim. Way too much hype with many products. However, a trend I see, especially with the rising popularity of social networking sites is that people are increasingly going to rely on others opinions about which products to buy.

Word of mouth spreads very quickly with things like twitter and facebook. The good products rise to the top and those less than that die off quickly.

Hi Jim,

Well-respected teacher, you.

Since last summer, 2008, I've been learning Internet Marketing and I've run the gamut of hype presentations. And I've cancelled out of thousands of dollars' worth of programs. The best money I ever spent was $39 with Magnetic Sponsoring which connected me up with Mike Dillard, next with you and PPC Domination, and now that $39 investment has begun to provide bits of income.

I'm moving ahead with my PPC understanding and accomplishments, by the way...

I feel more knowledgeable and am putting it all together... I can recognize the hype much more easily and just avoid it altogether. I appreciate YOU, Jim, and love your stories of life in Jordan (partly because I visited there with the Kawar family once upon a time).

When you boil it right down, there are a few good leaders and too many swipers and resellers- reselling to recoup the big bucks they paid for the material who are ultimately out to make a profit. They are following the strategies they are taught and putting what they just bought out there in a slightly different way. Isn't that kind of the concept tho? In reality is there hope for a newbie with out using the tactics they are taught? Unfortunately some of the stuff out there is re hashed, takes your money, weakens your hope and keeps you in a rabbit hole... resulting in frustration and one is still broke... unless you are creative and you do your research, which is outrageously time consuming. Jim you surely are creative and a leader. Great Post

Great post Jim. The blind hype that has been created in this market is getting really old. I don't think enough marketers are paying attention to the current emotional state of your average buyer in this market. I think the successful, wealthy, guru marketers, who aren't struggling financially anymore, have missed the boat on the fact that most of their buyers aren't as focused on making millions right now but rather paying their bills and paying down the debt they ran up the last 10 years when things were economically much better. We can talk about how great it is to make $50,000 per month (and that's almost always a gross sales revenue figure, not a statement of profits! Personally, it's not impressive to me that you grossed $100,000 in a month but spent $95,000 in adwords to do it!), but to a person who is struggling, that seems to be more of a turn off these days. My opt-in and conversion rates have gone way us since I scaled back my tone and financial expectations.

I also completely agree with Daniel's comment. Fake scarcity and the complete lack of integrity that 90% of the marketers out there display is nauseating. I've gotten to the point where I only believe the truly large marketers like Frank Kern, Jeff Walker, and the rest of the big names actually sell out their products and can create real scarcity in their markets. I saw a tweet from Mike Filsaime, who I've follow and have purchased many products from, that talked about the strategy of a server crash to create excitement in the market. I really hope he was just kidding because that seems really lame and deceptive to me.

At the end of the day you simply cannot afford to lie to your prospects.

Jim,

The reason I like you and Mike is because respect is a big part of who you guys are as people. I'll admit that after I got Magnetic Sponsoring and Traffic Formula that I was still pulled in by some of the other fluff. What I've come to realize is that there is more than enough information in those two products to get me where I want to go. The only thing I'm missing is PPC Domination. After that, I really don't expect to buy into too much more crap. I'm only following people I respect from now on. I'm not chasing the hype and the promises because all of them are empty. You guys lay it on the line and say, "This is what it is. If it's for you, grab it, if not, step off." In so many words of course. But I like that. And that's how I am as a person too. I've been caught up in being nice and all that other stuff when it's really not about that. It's about becoming a master communicator. And now that I've made this decision, I'm sure I'll get there shortly. Thanks for all you do.

Hey Jim,

Great post - I will always request a refund from these suckers! In fact I have sometimes requested a refund after a quick browse of a product, there really is some junk out there.

I remember one product that I bought on the topic of SEO which looked great on the sales page but was complete junk on the other side. There was a crappy ebook and then a heap of bonuses. All of the bonuses we "not available" and conveniently lead to CPA offers! They also had "free websites" as a bonus and they were only about 90 bucks a month, cheap at half the price.

I feel sorry for the people who don't understand what these shit heads are up to and I'm sure a lot of newbies get suckered. For some reason I had to go back to that sales page, to get some contact info or something like that and as I was exiting a pop up flashed up, and every time I tried to exit the deal got progressively cheaper until they were giving it away if I remember correctly. I guess they were happy enough with all the backend commissions they were getting. What a joke!

There's my little rant for the day, thanks for opening up the platform to chat about it.

My advice is use the money back guarantee whenever something doesn't deliver and straight away so you don't forget about it.
